Nelson Hermes
A private, self-hosted service that lets its owner's AI assistant work with the owner's own Google Workspace data — Calendar, Gmail, Google Docs and Google Drive — on the owner's hardware.
What this app is
Nelson Hermes is a personal automation tool. It runs on a computer owned and operated by a single individual (the “owner”) and connects that person's own AI assistant to that same person's own Google account, so the assistant can carry out tasks the owner explicitly asks for — for example, “what's on my calendar tomorrow?” or “file this note in my Drive.”
It is not a public or multi-user service. There is no sign-up, no account creation, and no other users. Only the owner's own Google account is connected, and only the owner can issue instructions.
What it does
- Calendar — read and update the owner's calendar events.
- Gmail — search and read the owner's mail, and send or reply on the owner's behalf.
- Google Docs — read and edit the owner's documents.
- Google Drive — read and manage the owner's files and folders.
Every action is initiated by the owner. Nothing runs autonomously and nothing is sent anywhere the owner has not asked for.
How Google user data is handled
Google account data is used only to perform the tasks the owner requests. It is stored on the owner's own computer, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or to train generalized AI models. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
