1. About these terms
These terms govern use of Nelson Hermes (“the app”). The app is a private, self-hosted personal project operated by and for a single individual (the “owner”). By installing, running or using the app, you agree to these terms.
2. What the app is
The app connects the owner's own AI assistant to the owner's own Google account (Calendar, Gmail, Google Docs and Google Drive) so that the assistant can perform tasks the owner requests. It is provided for personal, private use only. It is not a public service, is not offered for sale, and is not made available to any third-party user.
There is no separate account, sign-up or login for the app itself. Access is limited to the owner of the computer on which the app runs.
3. Acceptable use
The app may only be used with a Google account that you are entitled to access, and only for lawful purposes. You must not use the app to:
- access any Google account or data you do not have permission to access;
- send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or any unlawful, harassing or deceptive communication;
- violate Google's terms of service, the Google API Services User Data Policy, or any applicable law; or
- interfere with, disrupt or attempt to circumvent the security of the app, Google's services, or any other system.
4. Your Google account
Your use of Google services through the app is also governed by Google's own terms. Your relationship with Google, including the terms that apply to your Google account, is between you and Google. Nothing in these terms changes your agreement with Google.
5. Privacy
How the app handles Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. No guarantee is given that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that actions it takes on your Google data will be free of mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing actions taken on your behalf.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the owner and any contributor to the app will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the app.
8. Changes and termination
The app may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time. These terms may be updated; the revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
You may stop using the app and revoke its access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
